There's not much time left before we head off to Ohio. So I have made a calendar of things to do and show gram before we leave. We did the water park and we had lots of fun. Earlier that week we had our Monday Gymnastics. Went o.k. For some reason she just doesn't feel comfortable doing the warm up. I think she just does not care about the small group with the male teacher.
Tuesday we drove up to Schofield to drive down Kolekole pass. Unfortunately we had to pass sometime as though because the hours have changed and the road is closed until noon which was OK because we had lunch before our 1 hour drive. Finished the end of the drive by beaching it at Kaena Point. Wednesday took a little break and washed the car. My goal was to hit the pool but Olivia had other plans for us. She was way cranky and needed sleep more.
Thursday we met some neighbors at Koolina Lagoons. We had to leave the house by 8:30 am in order to find a parking spot. Luckily we have that handicapped sticker so we got our spot.
Saturday Kira was tired and had a morning nap from about 930-1230. We were having lunch when she woke up. After lunch Olivia went to nap a little unwillingly by screaming all the way up the stairs. As soon as we got to her room we snuggled ab it and laid down. Everything was better once she had her mommy time. I had to lay with her about 10 Min's til she fell asleep then Kira and I hit the grocery store. Fun Fun I made my stuffed sirloin roast for dinner then we enjoyed Popsicles on the porch.
So today we made it to church and tried the girls at the bounce house but its just did not work. Within 5 Min's Olivia was ready to go. I'm tired she says. Well we did make it home to have some turkey wrap sandwiches and then she got her nap..
Our week will be busy riding the glass bottom boat and the polynesian cultural center. So we'll see how much we can push the girls.

Wet n Wild
Today I had a blast at the water park with the girls. We got there when they opened at 1030 and it was the busiest since I have been to the park. Kira started of very quiet and slow and Olivia never has a problem getting in the water. But it didn't take Kira long, she followed in her sisters footsteps with out a problem. There are 2 water slides near the younger kids pool. Kira and I started off on together but after a few rides she was off on her own. I am also very excited to see Olivia in the water. She is doing really well at keeping her head under the water for at least 5 or more seconds. It seems like yesterday she would go under and come right up but not anymore. And she is also very proud of herself. Good job to both my girls :)

Slept in
I cannot believe I woke up at 730 this morning. Gram sent the girls in my room because they were up before me. Yesterday they were both up around 8. Of course I was not home and hit the Aloha swap meet. Found my seat covers, yea and bought the girls and I luggage for traveling. Little did I know how excited Olivia would be. She has been carrying around her rolling backpack for 2 days. Ready to fly now. Its coming quickly.
Anyway we took the girls and met friends at the Scott pool on Pearl Harbor. We had a fun day there. I love to watch the girls progress in the water. They are getting braver and braver. Especially when they watch friends and want to do the same that they so. They have a nice water slide unfortunately the girls are to little to ride it. We stopped at the commissary on the way home. I made chicken fried rice for dinner so I needed to get some things for that. I turned out good but not wonderful. Cooking stresses me out!

The Mall
Today we took the girls to the Pearl ridge mall. They have finished the insect exhibit. It really turned out nice. Its on display til the beginning of August. They have also put in a train for the Keiki. The girls did well.Last time Kira rode the train she was not a happy camper. O's on the other hand was a little concerned the whole time. We rode the monorail again over to the downtown side of the mall. Picked up Mc'Ds for the girls and Gram and I had "welcome to Moe's".I cant believe I ate the whole homewrecker. It was good:)We got home at 245 and put the girls to nap. I am here updating the blog for a few more mins then I hope to close my eyes to.
Yesterday the ice cream truck came by and I almost missed it. The girls were napping at the time so they got to enjoy their ice cream after they ate their dinner. Now I remamber why we eat ice cream outside.

I finally had a physical at the Dr's yesterday, ugh they almost cancelled my apt for another month. Everything went well. I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat for maybe 10 secs then it disappeared. We could not find it again due to all the kicking this little one was doing. Its real when you hear the heartbeat. Now I am getting excited again. Now if all the apts go smooth we'll be good to go. My find out the sex of the baby is near the end of Aug so stay up if you want to know what it is.
Monday was a good day of gymnastics for olivia. She does much better when my total attention is on her. Kira got to stay home and play with ama. (grandma)
Today we headed to the Dole Plantation. Its about time for grandma to catch in some tourist events. We'll take it slow. Alot of Hawaii is walking and hot. Maybe 1-2 events a week

Swim lessons have finished with Kira and I. Now onto visiting more of Oahu with grandma. Today Monday Kira and I took Olivia to gymnastics. Not a good day for her. This was the first day in a new class with a new teacher. She pretty much melted the whole time. She really wanted moms help. I had to somehow contain Kira. I hope next week goes better. Kira will stay home with grandma next week while I pay more attention to Olivia. We had pizza for lunch and hit the commissary for a few groceries. Kira fell asleep on the way home and Olivia went to bed pretty quickly to. We did have a very busy 4Th of July. I decided to take the girls to Hickam for their show and we actually had a very good time. Left at 10 and stayed til 2:30. We had a BBQ at 4 down at the neighbors house. I not sure why I expect the girls to eat anything when they are near friends. All they want to do is play play play. And finally at 9:30 after fireworks now they are hungry. Go figure.
Juice and watermelon for dinner

Where do the weeks go
Sometimes the days fly by and at least yes the faster they go the faster Jay comes home. My mom has been here almost a month and I sure she is really getting worn out by these girls. They can be a handful. They have been waking her up as early as 630-7 if Olivia is up at that time. We have been a little off schedule due to our swim lessons with Kira. Which means it really throws off bed time. Ugh 900pm. Kira is doing well. She has no problem hanging on to the noodle by herself. I support the back of it. Hopefully we will have some of those pictures up soon. This is the last week of the lessons so next week we should hopefully be showing grandma some of Oahu.
I happy to say that I have had no nausea the last 5 days. Yea. And that have not gained any weight yet. We should get to hear the heartbeat on the July 13Th apt. Hopefully all will be good.
Cannot wait for U/S pictures. Seems so far away.

Well my husband has found facebook. Hes addicted. I have recently been on mostly to communicate with him and add some pictures. He is on day 2 in Samoa of 10 days. Ive gotten to talk with him on the phone this morning and he was able to call 2 nights ago. We also IM each other on yahoo quite a bit. Times of communication have changed. How wonderful for us in the military life. If you have not followed his facebook here is what he has been up to

Today was our first clinic day in Samoa. The day started with a incredible sunrise on transit from the ship. The town of Salani were the clinic was held is truly where the road ends. The nearby Salani Surf Resort owners were gracious hosts providing coordination, lunch and an ice cold after work beverage. 17 "desexings" were performed by the team under the careful scrutiny of the village children...

We're here! The USNS Byrd is anchored off the Island of Samoa and we are anxiously awaiting our small boat ride to the island, solid, beautiful land....Today we will meet with our local veterinary counterparts. They have done an amazing job preparing for our arrival--even our ships civilian crew has heard advertisements on the radio for our "free desexing (spay/ neuter clinics)."
27June
The last two days at sea have stretched a little longer...Yesterday we had our 2ND fire and abandon ship drills. Today we sorted supplies and packaged all our gear for Samoa. Tonite is pizza, must be Saturday! Only a couple more days till the mission starts....
