So obviously I've gotten really far behind on this blogging. Honestly because Jay had been gone for so long it was just easier to post on Face book. The deployment is over and its so nice to have him home. We just got back this week from a long vacation in Ohio about 38 days and 8 days in Orlando Florida. Home Sweet Home you cant beat it. We are still adjusting to the time change considering its a six hour difference. The girls have been getting up around 5:30-6 in the morning. Hopefully this shall pass and will start sleeping in in the morning. I need my coffee time. So if you have not heard we are having a 3rd girl come January 17Th if she follows the rules. Both my girls were early so we'll see what happens. I am excited. Unfortunately I gave most of my baby items to a lady at our church that had adopted a baby girl. The child was taken away from them by the original parents and I'm happy to say they've just recently gotten a new little girl that is 7 days old. So I guess I'll have to do a little shopping.
We wore the girls and us out at Disney and Sea World. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios hot but fun. Olivia was excited to celebrate her birthday at Mickey Mouses house. We rented a very nice town home in Windsor Hills for the time we were there. Very nice 3/3 bath mickey themed child's room and bathroom, pool clubhouse also with pool game room and workout room. Highly recommended if you have the chance. We stayed at Windsor palms 2 years ago but I really liked this place much better
We took a mini day trip to Gainesville Florida so Jay can talk to the current residents and find out whats in his future come July 2010 as we will be heading back there while he completes his 3 yr surgery residency. I have been house hunting daily and getting excited to be back in Gator country.
So I hope to post some vacation pictures soon and will do my best to keep you all updated. Sorry for the lack of postings

Well today is Aloha Friday, well it's always Aloha Friday here in Hawaii. I'm not sure what I am up for since its only 3:30 in the morning and I've been up since 3. Probably part of the reason is my ac needs adjusting. For some reason the thermometer reads 85..ugh anyway Yeah the weekend is here. Although its always more fun to enjoy it when Jay is around. No big plans until we see how the girls are feeling. Olivia spent the last week since Thursday under the weather. Fevers, uncomfortable belly earaches etc. Tylenol and Motrin are a must. Now Kira seems to be having fevers also. At least their not to cranky :)Although I so hope they start feeling better since we are flying to Ohio in 6 days. Yes a 13 hr flight is coming my way with 2 toddlers.. At least Grandma Jean will be with us and able to help.
Our 16week apt went well so far no problems and the little one seems to be very busy according to the Doppler. At least this last visit we were able to hear a heartbeat for more then 30 sec... With in the last 2 days I have really been able to feel the baby kick. Still more like a flutter. Mostly at night laying in bed relaxed. On Tuesday the 18Th we will have an U/S to hopefully tell if this will be a boy or girl. Looking forward to it. Hopefully its a ........very healthy baby
My mom and Kristen will be able to go. Unfortunately daddy will get the news over the phone. We are able to chat via the computer almost every night(pending no Internet issues) so his 4 month deployment has not been to bad. And also since Grandma Jean is here its made the time fly a bit faster.
I'm hoping I'll be tired enough to fall back asleep since the girls will be up in 2..hopefully 3 hrs. So I will update some more later. Goodnight.

Time is winding down
There's not much time left before we head off to Ohio. So I have made a calendar of things to do and show gram before we leave. We did the water park and we had lots of fun. Earlier that week we had our Monday Gymnastics. Went o.k. For some reason she just doesn't feel comfortable doing the warm up. I think she just does not care about the small group with the male teacher.
Tuesday we drove up to Schofield to drive down Kolekole pass. Unfortunately we had to pass sometime as though because the hours have changed and the road is closed until noon which was OK because we had lunch before our 1 hour drive. Finished the end of the drive by beaching it at Kaena Point. Wednesday took a little break and washed the car. My goal was to hit the pool but Olivia had other plans for us. She was way cranky and needed sleep more.
Thursday we met some neighbors at Koolina Lagoons. We had to leave the house by 8:30 am in order to find a parking spot. Luckily we have that handicapped sticker so we got our spot.
Saturday Kira was tired and had a morning nap from about 930-1230. We were having lunch when she woke up. After lunch Olivia went to nap a little unwillingly by screaming all the way up the stairs. As soon as we got to her room we snuggled ab it and laid down. Everything was better once she had her mommy time. I had to lay with her about 10 Min's til she fell asleep then Kira and I hit the grocery store. Fun Fun I made my stuffed sirloin roast for dinner then we enjoyed Popsicles on the porch.
So today we made it to church and tried the girls at the bounce house but its just did not work. Within 5 Min's Olivia was ready to go. I'm tired she says. Well we did make it home to have some turkey wrap sandwiches and then she got her nap..
Our week will be busy riding the glass bottom boat and the polynesian cultural center. So we'll see how much we can push the girls.

Wet n Wild
Today I had a blast at the water park with the girls. We got there when they opened at 1030 and it was the busiest since I have been to the park. Kira started of very quiet and slow and Olivia never has a problem getting in the water. But it didn't take Kira long, she followed in her sisters footsteps with out a problem. There are 2 water slides near the younger kids pool. Kira and I started off on together but after a few rides she was off on her own. I am also very excited to see Olivia in the water. She is doing really well at keeping her head under the water for at least 5 or more seconds. It seems like yesterday she would go under and come right up but not anymore. And she is also very proud of herself. Good job to both my girls :)

Slept in
I cannot believe I woke up at 730 this morning. Gram sent the girls in my room because they were up before me. Yesterday they were both up around 8. Of course I was not home and hit the Aloha swap meet. Found my seat covers, yea and bought the girls and I luggage for traveling. Little did I know how excited Olivia would be. She has been carrying around her rolling backpack for 2 days. Ready to fly now. Its coming quickly.
Anyway we took the girls and met friends at the Scott pool on Pearl Harbor. We had a fun day there. I love to watch the girls progress in the water. They are getting braver and braver. Especially when they watch friends and want to do the same that they so. They have a nice water slide unfortunately the girls are to little to ride it. We stopped at the commissary on the way home. I made chicken fried rice for dinner so I needed to get some things for that. I turned out good but not wonderful. Cooking stresses me out!

The Mall
Today we took the girls to the Pearl ridge mall. They have finished the insect exhibit. It really turned out nice. Its on display til the beginning of August. They have also put in a train for the Keiki. The girls did well.Last time Kira rode the train she was not a happy camper. O's on the other hand was a little concerned the whole time. We rode the monorail again over to the downtown side of the mall. Picked up Mc'Ds for the girls and Gram and I had "welcome to Moe's".I cant believe I ate the whole homewrecker. It was good:)We got home at 245 and put the girls to nap. I am here updating the blog for a few more mins then I hope to close my eyes to.
Yesterday the ice cream truck came by and I almost missed it. The girls were napping at the time so they got to enjoy their ice cream after they ate their dinner. Now I remamber why we eat ice cream outside.

I finally had a physical at the Dr's yesterday, ugh they almost cancelled my apt for another month. Everything went well. I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat for maybe 10 secs then it disappeared. We could not find it again due to all the kicking this little one was doing. Its real when you hear the heartbeat. Now I am getting excited again. Now if all the apts go smooth we'll be good to go. My find out the sex of the baby is near the end of Aug so stay up if you want to know what it is.
Monday was a good day of gymnastics for olivia. She does much better when my total attention is on her. Kira got to stay home and play with ama. (grandma)
Today we headed to the Dole Plantation. Its about time for grandma to catch in some tourist events. We'll take it slow. Alot of Hawaii is walking and hot. Maybe 1-2 events a week

Swim lessons have finished with Kira and I. Now onto visiting more of Oahu with grandma. Today Monday Kira and I took Olivia to gymnastics. Not a good day for her. This was the first day in a new class with a new teacher. She pretty much melted the whole time. She really wanted moms help. I had to somehow contain Kira. I hope next week goes better. Kira will stay home with grandma next week while I pay more attention to Olivia. We had pizza for lunch and hit the commissary for a few groceries. Kira fell asleep on the way home and Olivia went to bed pretty quickly to. We did have a very busy 4Th of July. I decided to take the girls to Hickam for their show and we actually had a very good time. Left at 10 and stayed til 2:30. We had a BBQ at 4 down at the neighbors house. I not sure why I expect the girls to eat anything when they are near friends. All they want to do is play play play. And finally at 9:30 after fireworks now they are hungry. Go figure.

Where do the weeks go
Sometimes the days fly by and at least yes the faster they go the faster Jay comes home. My mom has been here almost a month and I sure she is really getting worn out by these girls. They can be a handful. They have been waking her up as early as 630-7 if Olivia is up at that time. We have been a little off schedule due to our swim lessons with Kira. Which means it really throws off bed time. Ugh 900pm. Kira is doing well. She has no problem hanging on to the noodle by herself. I support the back of it. Hopefully we will have some of those pictures up soon. This is the last week of the lessons so next week we should hopefully be showing grandma some of Oahu.
I happy to say that I have had no nausea the last 5 days. Yea. And that have not gained any weight yet. We should get to hear the heartbeat on the July 13Th apt. Hopefully all will be good.
Cannot wait for U/S pictures. Seems so far away.

Well my husband has found facebook. Hes addicted. I have recently been on mostly to communicate with him and add some pictures. He is on day 2 in Samoa of 10 days. Ive gotten to talk with him on the phone this morning and he was able to call 2 nights ago. We also IM each other on yahoo quite a bit. Times of communication have changed. How wonderful for us in the military life. If you have not followed his facebook here is what he has been up to
1 July
Today was our first clinic day in Samoa. The day started with a incredible sunrise on transit from the ship. The town of Salani were the clinic was held is truly where the road ends. The nearby Salani Surf Resort owners were gracious hosts providing coordination, lunch and an ice cold after work beverage. 17 "desexings" were performed by the team under the careful scrutiny of the village children...
30 June
We're here! The USNS Byrd is anchored off the Island of Samoa and we are anxiously awaiting our small boat ride to the island, solid, beautiful land....Today we will meet with our local veterinary counterparts. They have done an amazing job preparing for our arrival--even our ships civilian crew has heard advertisements on the radio for our "free desexing (spay/ neuter clinics)."
27June
The last two days at sea have stretched a little longer...Yesterday we had our 2ND fire and abandon ship drills. Today we sorted supplies and packaged all our gear for Samoa. Tonite is pizza, must be Saturday! Only a couple more days till the mission starts....

Were in
Yeah, I m so excited to be moving back to Gainesville, Florida next year as Jay will begin a 3 year surgery residency. Woo hooo!!!!Hawaii will be missed. At least we will still have the warmth:)
We have been able to skype a little bit with dad, but frequently get disconnected. Anything is better than nothing. He mentioned the weather has not been great so that doesn't help with the connection. He seems to be keeping busy and is still somewhere sailing the ocean.
The girls, grandma and I try to keep busy. We had church this morning along with some mall play time and not to mention the pretzel snacks. We didn't get home til after 2 which really throws off the nap schedule. So they had none. Neither did mom.
Yesterday attempted the swap meet. Not a great idea considering the heat was unbearable for all. The rest of our fun this week consisted of grocery shopping, gymnastics, making cookies and playing at the pool.

Sailing, Sailing
This morning grandma and I took the girls to the Pearl Ridge Mall for the oogles and googles keiki show. They sang all about the 5 senses. The girls didn't much participate though maybe next time. We did get to ride the monorail downtown and enjoyed some dippin dots ice cream. MESSY!!!! They are setting up a very cool insect/bug exhibit with a train and the girls can't wait for it to be completed. Pizza hut and taco bell were on the lunch menu. Olivia was so tired she tried to fall asleep on the bench. Kira made it until she got buckled in the car. Up to bed when we got home but unfortunately Olivia would not take a nap. She woke Kira up by 3 and ended up going to the playground til 5:30. They found avocados and had fun rolling them up the slide like ski ball. I missed dads call unfortunately he'd messaged leave were getting ready to leave port. After getting the girls dinner, bath and bed at 8:30 Jay was able to skype me from the boat. They were sailing and out to sea. It was short, but glad we got to talk. He hopes to call in the morning and skype the girls.
We are looking forward to the board results in the morning so keep your fingers crossed.....:)

In Guam
Daddy made it to Guam safely. He called this morning around 7am and we skyped him for about 15minutes. Its about a 28 hr time change 1 day ahead of us. The boat will leave Guam Thursday for the mission. I am not sure when we will be able to talk after that. He will share a room with one other guy and they have a cot and a bed in a small room. Hopefully he will be able to send pictures.
Today we have caught up on some rearranging and cleaning. Sorting through some baby clothes to save in case they will be needed come January. Which means we are expecting our 3rd in mid January. Come August we will know if its a boy or girl.

He's Gone
Today dad headed off on his Pacific Partnership 09 Humanitarian mission.
"This year we plan to head to Oceania and bring much needed supplies, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering aid to this region that has such a rich history with the United States," The mission will visit Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Tonga.
Search the web for more information on Pacific Partnership 09
He will be traveling by boat on the USNS Richard E Byrd
We took him to hickam this morning @7am, and he left from there at 9am. The girls, grandma and I headed off to church. Olivia did not want to go. I think she was just upset dad had left. She is used to him bringing her because usually I am working the service.
The had hot dogs as the meal afterwards and that was great as Miss Kira LOVES them. They about fell asleep on the way home. They both had lunch and naps once we got home, and when O's woke up she wanted to play her jellys in the hot tub. Grandma treated us to chilis for dinner and because our food took so long we had a complimentary chocolate molton lave dessert. Bed when we got home and me to.

Happy Memorial Day
Almost 3 weeks have passed and chip is still wearing his e-collar. When he is free of it he goes totally bonkers running around like a nuckle headacting like he just wants to attack his tail. Just cannot be trusted alone..We recently celebrated Kiras 2nd birthday with our friends and neighbors. We enjoyed a lasagna dinner with salad, breadsticks and rolls. Topped off by icecream cone cupcakes and Jens famous skor cake. YUM-O. Grandma Jean is coming to visit June 2nd until the 20th of August to help me with the girls while dad will be gone the summer on a humanitarin mission for work.

Go Figure
Is it not normal that when your veterinarian is out of town your animals get sick. This is typical us. Tuesday evening we had an animal emergency. O was trying to close the door as chip was leaving the bedroom. OUCH. I know that wasn't her screaming. Its a good thing she didn't lock the door behind him otherwise I don't think he'd have a tail left. The week of recovery wasn't the greatest. I know now why e-collars are a must, because 2 days later he attacked his tail in pain, and back to the vets for a day. Home on pain meds with a new tail wrap. One he couldn't get too. Now I have a new perspective for animal pain when they have trauma to their tail.

We will miss them very much hope to see them in the near future. Not only is it hard on us but I cannot imagine how the kids feel.
Daddy got called to an emergency yesterday afternoon around 3 and ended up coming home at 3 this afternoon and now having some much needed zzz's. We hope the dog continues to recover well from is GDV..
Not a whole lot to write but here are some recent photos......
