3 Years Ago Today

Well 3 years ago today we became a mom and a dad to this beautiful little girl. You can see has grown up to be a special little toddler. Yes 3 years has had its downs, but way more ups. Its fun to see my daughter grow up. Nothing could be more wonderful. My godmother(today is her birthday to) love you

Happy 3rd Birthday Olivia

We celebrated Olivias 3rd Birthday on Saturday at Hickam Beach. Although we forgot to univite the wind we overcame it and had fun. Without it it probably would have been hot. Thank you to dadddy for BBQ ribs, hotdogs and hamburgers. Kira had fun too. We brought along the inflatable pool and I think it was a great idea even though I told dad no.
Instead of cake and cupcakes I used brownies and frosted and decorated them with a little hint of Halloween. It was so windy there was no lighting of the candles, so I had her pretend to blow them out. We got home around 2 and the girls had great naps, not to mention so did mom and dad. Late night/early morning.

It is hard to believe the last post was August, Time is flying. We only have a year and a half left and I am sure that will fly too. J got home from his trip and it has been nice to have him here. This last weekend he took off so we could spend some time together. We spent alot of time at the beach. You can never get enough of these Hawaiian waters.
Friday we headed to Waimea Falls Park/ Waimea Vally Audubon Center. They have nice gardens you can stroll through and a paved pathway that makes it easy for us stroller people who don't want to carry the kids. Its only about 3/4 mile to the falls where you can swim in the pool below. Olivia and Daddy dipped their feet in. There were a few others swimming. We had lunch after we finished our walk in the park. The girls were excited to see the pecans(peacocks)
which is how Olivia pronounced it. Kira tried to share her cookie. After the park we stooped on the way home see some turtles. We got lucky because (Olivia) the sea turtle can up to say Hello. They are protected by volunteers on the beach and place a red rope around them so they can have their space. We didn't stay to long it was nap time and we were ready to go. That evening we had our Friday night gathering with a few neighbors and it turned in to a tempura evening with everything from shrimp to chicken and vegetables. YUM-O Grandma M was the hit with the kids they all wanted to be held by her

Saturday was a day of clean up and laundry,. Sunday I worked at church and we had lunch at ruby Tuesdays and bought O's a fun costume and Monday to the north shore with the neighbors. To our surprise there was a monk seal sunning himself on the beach. I was really a good beach. The sand reminded me of bird seed and it was easy to brush off. We did a little snorkeling and used my underwater camera cover to get a few pictures. The water was a little rough, but was fun-even Olivia was loving the waves.
